Recently there was a very good, yet sobering article on organizational success-to-date with digital transformations. The numbers presented did not show positive. There were, however, a good number of key takeaways from this article on how to improve your odds with your digital transformation initiative. There were a few that jumped out at me where I want to share my thoughts.

In the article, the authors discuss the twenty-one keys to success to improve your probability for digital transformation success.  They are broken down into five categories:

  1. Having the right, digital-savvy leaders in place
  2. Building capabilities for the workforce of the future
  3. Empowering people to work in new ways
  4. Giving day-to-day tools a digital upgrade
  5. Communicating frequently via traditional and digital methods

All of these categories are extremely important to your success. The two (numbers four and five) are all I will focus on for this post. This is where Platinum PMO can provide a valuable, immediate impact.

Give Your Day-To-Day Tools a Digital Upgrade

Platinum PMO have built a game-changing platform to help organizations implement their digital transformation vision. Our Digital Transformation Implementation Platform will dramatically change the way you perform your day-do-day operations, down to the core, actual implementation of your digital transformation.

Whats more, it provides your organization the highly valuable stepping stones to your digital transformation, by actually utilizing digital transformation components as part of your implementation. All aspects of what it takes to implement a large-scale digital transformation have been taken into account, and provided within the Digital Transformation Implementation Platform to the benefit of it’s users in one integrated, simple-to-use, cloud-based solution.

Communicating Frequently Via Digital Mediums

In addition to providing state-of-the-art processes and technology to help you implement your traditional communication plans, one critical game changer we have built into our Digital Transformation Implementation Platform is something we refer to as “surgical communications.” Complex digital transformations impact nearly all, if not every single aspect of your organization. Because of the integrated nature of digital transformation implementations, the people, processes, technologies, data and governance involved also impacts nearly every aspect of the implementation teams working on your digital transformation. Instead of the inefficient, more traditional way (sending mass amounts of emails to project teams across the program, hoping that the messages are hitting the right people) our technology provides succinct messaging down to the individual resource(s) who may be impacted by the integrated changes across your program.

An example being an individual working on a process team, pushing forward the next sprint, and looking to update some critical functionality within the effort. There is a very high probability that the individual will have no idea what impacts those changes may have to the data migration teams, the interface teams, the business analytic teams, the training teams, etc. With Platinum PMO’s patent-pending technology, the specific resources who integrate with your process point are automatically notified of the changes made and have the opportunity to digitally collaborate with all groups effected by the impact those changes may have across the other aspect of your program. By building micro intelligent communications within the implementation process, you are mitigating significant risks around integration misses, while minimizing delays to the overall program by way of major integration test failures.

I highly encourage you to read the article in its entirety, as it provides some true insights. If you should have interest once you are done with it, do not hesitate to contact us. We would love to share with you how we think we can help accelerate delivery, reduce cost, and minimize risk with your upcoming digital transformation initiative.
